Safeport Faro lounge, the largest of its kind at Faro Airport, offers an expansive 140m² of luxurious space for both passengers and private crews

This impressive facility was conceived by renowned architect Álvaro Silva and interior designer Sandra Castro, with the goal of elevating the brand’s identity and service to meet the highest standards of the aviation industry.

The lounge features two distinct, sophisticated rooms, each designed to cater to specific needs. The first room is dedicated to crew members, offering a comfortable space for relaxation and socialising, along with a dedicated work area equipped with computers. The second, more intimate space is focused on passenger comfort and can be closed off for private meetings using a sliding door, ensuring maximum privacy and exclusivity.

In contrast to typical airport lounges, Safeport Faro was designed to create a unique, homely environment rather than a corporate atmosphere. As Safeport President Paulo Mirpuri explains, “We strongly believed that the space should feel like a home, much more than an extension of an office.”

True to Safeport’s commitment to sustainability, the lounge uses locally sourced materials from Faro and the surrounding region. Shale, wood, and iron elements are seamlessly integrated into the design, while a neutral colour palette inspired by the beach sand enhances the serene and welcoming atmosphere.

This luxurious new lounge redefines ground-level comfort, blending exclusivity with a deep commitment to sustainability—making Safeport Faro the perfect starting point for an exceptional journey.
